Participation in the photography exhibition of the Almas Photography Team, in collaboration with DOPAR, titled “Absence”, held at the Municipal Baths, Arionos Square, in the Medieval City of Rhodes.
The theme of this particular exhibition arose from the need to create something experiential, allowing the group to work beyond the technical aspects of photography—something tangible and highly relevant in today’s world, something that concerns the everyday person… Absence.
Absence of life, absence of time, absence of emotions… Each participant individually explored what preoccupies them, what they feel is most lacking in their daily life, and recorded it.
Believing that this theme resonates with people today, and aiming to make it more accessible to the exhibition’s visitors, the team reached out to a psychologist, a visual artist, and educators, inviting them to present their own perspectives on the concept of Absence within the framework of the exhibition.
In the exhibition, I was responsible for the photography and poster design, as well as the filming and editing of the video that was shown throughout the exhibition.
The musical score and composition for the video were created by “Defteri Mera” — Tasos Neophytou and Andronikos Kokiantonis.
