PHOTOGRAPHY I

Beginner

Photography School of Niki Spartali in Rhodes, Greece

Day:

Every Thursday

Time:

17:00 - 19:00

New term starts:

October 8, 2026

The first photography course is for those who want to learn how to use their camera correctly.

Although photography was invented back in 1839, it continues to captivate viewers artistically. For many, it has become the language of modern communication, so powerful that words sometimes become unnecessary… It is the best way to express what you see, experience, and feel through a single image.

From a technical standpoint, teaching your camera to “speak” the way you want requires understanding some basic rules, learning to “read” the light, and composing your frame.

In these photography lessons, we will focus on the technical aspects to become familiar with our cameras—what they do and how they produce the final image we see. We will explore common lighting challenges in both indoor and outdoor settings and learn practical ways to overcome them. With a few simple adjustments, your images will become more visually striking. We will also work on enhancing colors and adjusting the light and dark tones of your photos using editing software.

Who is it for

Photography I (Beginners) is designed for individuals with little or no prior experience in photography who want to learn how to use their camera more effectively.

Duration

Equipment

To attend Photography I (Beginners), you need to have a camera. The only requirement is that the camera allows manual settings—it should not be fully automatic.
