"Hidden"

Stories That Exist Without Being Seen

Photography School of Niki Spartali in Rhodes, Greece

Exhibition Duration:

09/05 - 18/05 2026

Venue:

L' Auberge de France Old Town, Rhodes

“Lanthanon,” derived from the ancient verb lanthanō—“to escape notice,” “to remain hidden”—denotes a presence that exists without revealing itself

The exhibition unfolds throughout the space through a series of three-dimensional installations and photographic compositions that go beyond the conventional presentation of images on the wall. Works are displayed in rooms, hallways, and the garden, forming a path that invites the viewer to move, observe, and discover. Screens, textiles, installations, and sound elements come together to create an environment where the image is transformed into an experience.

Thematically, the exhibition navigates between the visible and the hidden, inviting the public to engage in an experience of observation, listening, and personal interpretation.

Participants: Athina Athanasiou, Stasa Amplianiti, Dimitris Afeidis, Marietta Giakoumaki, Eleni Yanna, Katerina Golia, Valasia Gkoumotsiou, Stavros Diakoanastasiou, Tania Drakiou, Irene Karpathaki, Margarita Karpathaki, Vasileia Kefala, Christina Kililelli, Persa Koulaouzidi, Georgia Liristi, Irini Manolakiou, Dimitris Bartatilas, Thalia Boni, Mariangela Myriallaki, Evi Oikonomidou, Ioanna Ikonomou, Anastasia Paraskoulaki, Tsabickos Pardalos, IraklisPilarinos, Fotini Spanou, Eirini Stavra, LemoniaStavrinaki, Zaneta Triantafyllou, Tommy Ton, Ioanna Tsakiraki, Anastasia Angeliki Tsikki, Natasa Hatziapostolou, Kalliopi Chatzipapa, Matina Chosada
