The photography team from Niki Spartali’s Photography School, Luminous, presents the group photography exhibition “Luminous – Praxis 1st, Scripts of an Era.”
The love for photography, as well as for our island, led our steps to the stairs of the most historic hotel in Rhodes. There, we met the actors of the theatrical group Praxis, and together we took a journey back in time…
The Grande Albergo delle Rose opened its doors in 1927, welcoming the local high society as well as celebrities and tycoons from around the world.
We staged stories in the magnificent spaces of the building, full of intrigue, love, passion, but also the innocence of another era—a project that both teams worked on for nearly a year. We conducted historical research, obtained permissions to photograph in specific areas, studied the clothing and behaviors of characters from that time. We wrote scripts for our actors, who then took care of tailoring their own costumes. The photoshoots, which were extremely demanding and required flawless coordination from everyone involved, were carried out with great enthusiasm and professionalism by all.
